Now half way through my 21st year of owning my RX8 192 5 Speed. As it left the factory with extras.... red & black leather, Sat Nav, door plates and cassette player. The photo was taken the day before the BIG WEEKEND @ Castle Combe/Beaulieu 2O24

Had artistic visions of using my RX8 keyring, a 1:16 scale model transformer RX8 and my mid life crisis baby all together in the same pic. Not quite how I imagined it but feel free to artify it up if ya so choose.

Narrowing it down to 2 was a challenge!

But also made me realise I’m awful at taking good picture of the car

Can you airbrush the skip too, otherwise a great photo

Early Skoda's use to be referred to as Skips!

So I'll rephrase it.... A great photo of a handsome RX8 parked next to a Skoda!!

I thought it was Lada's that were referred to as skips.

They only fitted a heated rear window, to keep your hands warm while pushing!

The answer is no unfortunately.
The calendar is now complete and awaiting commitee approval.

Hi guys.
A quick update would be that part of committee members have decided that it is a bit too late now to publish the calendar so the work template should be saved in order to publish it next November so there will not be a calendar this year.
I assume you would be able to see all pages in the club shop.

If anyone would still like a rotary themed 2025 calendar, featuring pictures of RX-8's and other Mazda Rotary models, then a limited supply is available from the Mazda Rotary Club.

We spend all year finding images to make a varied Rotary calendar and in this years there's four RX-8's

We have found over the last 22 years of producing these, that by NOT using Members pictures, we can’t get people miffed because their Rotary wasn't included!

The above post just goes to prove/ "You can please some of the people some of the time, but not all of the people all of the time"

After all your hard work Silviu you must be very disappointed that a last minute committee spanner in the works has killed the calendar for this year after all the hype too.

I am member of the committee myself Chris and the way it works is that we all need to agree to something in order to happen.
If we can't agree it does not happen unfortunately.
I am not disappointed at all. I am satisfied that i have completed the task in a timely manner and have learned in life not to be disappointed about the things that i cannot control.

Unfortunately this appears to have stalled at the final hurdle.

Thank you to Silviu for all his hardwork in creating a prototype, a combination of minor issues in the background stalled the project. Something I will be addressing at the next CM meeting.

For now, Malcolm has provided an alternative option via the MRC, and SpiritR have published a time limited group buy RX8 centric calendar, which may include some rare shots of Red coloured Aircraft alongside some 8s one of the months. (with no AI images for those who seem perturbed by that)

Apologies from all on the committee with the misfire on this, and please remember we have a predominantly new CM team trying to get their feet on policy and procedures of how the inner sanctum works while still producing some good quality work.

This topic will now be locked as nothing further is to gained from it at this time. Again, those disappointed with wanting a calendar, please check out the x2 alternative provided via MRC or within the group buy section on forum.
