Leeds/West Yorkshire Social Meet 2026 12th April at the Motorist

Mildly off topic, but spotted a lovely white R3 going through Yeadon/Guiseley on Saturday, if that’s anyone on here? Scottish plates

I was in the wife’s Volvo estate at the time on the way back from Yeadon dump, which is definitely not a trip the RX8 does

Yeah that was probably me, I was in Yeadon between 1 and 3 ish. My plate starts with SD10 which apparently means it's from Glasgow, which is news to me. Might help explain the rust though

Looked great going past mate. My first RX8 was ST06 so recognised the Scottish plates. As far as I can tell, that car is still on the road so they’re obviously somewhat protected from the salt

Hello people,

How's the MOTs and SORNs, are we ready to get a meet in the calendar?

Based on previous discussions, I think weekends would be best for most people, but we can double check.

I have been looking at a couple of venue options:
- The Motorist - They have casual car meets every Wednesday from 5pm and Coffee mornings every Sunday from 10am
- Meanwood Park
- Roundhay Park
- Skelton Lake Services
- any other suggestions?

I'm on the road post MOT, I've had a look at some of the events the motorist do and it looks quite good. I'd definitely be up for a coffee morning there.

I can do pretty much any Sunday over the next few months except for the 29th. Wednesdays might be a stretch for me, I'm about an hour away and I don't fancy hitting the rush hour traffic to get there

I’ll be taxing the car on the 1st of April. Hopefully mechanically all good, it’s been on the trickle charger over winter.

Like the sound of the motorist, likewise Sunday is probably better for me as getting from work in Bradford for 5pm on a Wednesday would be a push. I’ve got various weekend stuff on over the next few months, so probably best a date is agreed on and I’ll hope to get there.
